    • PRODUCTION AREA: San Benedetto vineyard, Acquaviva delle Fonti
    • SOIL: Red iron-rich soil with an underlying limestone layer
    • VINE TRAINING SYSTEM: Approx. 70-year-old bush-trained vines
    • VINES PER HECTARE: 7,000
    • YIELD PER HECTARE: 20/30 hl
    • HARVEST: Manual harvest of grapes in crates during the first/second week of September
    • MACERATION: 4 weeks
    • FERMENTATION: In stainless steel tanks for 4 weeks at 25°C
    • AGING: 24 months in stainless steel tanks and one year in bottle
    • ALCOHOL CONTENT: 16% vol.
    • RESIDUAL SUGAR: 4 g/l

    TASTING NOTES

    • APPEARANCE: Deep ruby red with violet reflections
    • NOSE: Elegant aromas of small black fruits (blackberry, red mulberry, sour cherry and “Ferrovia” cherry) and delicate floral notes (violet), with hints of aromatic herbs, liquorice and graphite
    • PALATE: It bursts onto the palate with great length and stunning retro-olfactory echoes. Supported by exceptionally fine tannins. Very rich, lingering finish.
